Osner Charles
Osner J. Charles currently serves as Assistant Director of Economic Development for the City of Paterson, NJ. In this capacity, Osner is responsible for real estate development, business recruitment, retention, expansion, workforce development and the overall economic development strategy of the 3rd largest City in the State of NJ. Osner serves on the Advisory Broad of Rutgers University, Nassan’s Place and is a former member of the YMCA Board of Directors. Osner continues to work closely with United Way of Essex and West Hudson, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union Counties, and a host of many other non-profit organizations throughout the Northern New Jersey area.
A passionate public servant, Osner works tirelessly to ensure that all people have access to quality education, healthy food services, and diverse and enriching extra-curricular activities. He is inspired daily by a quote from President Barack Obama: “The best way not to feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
